Undecided why. I'm also unsure the "calming outcome" operates on puppies. It seems to try and do the opposite basically and he assaults it a lot. Love it when an item is as advertised. My 9-7 days old golden retriever enjoys his significant (for now) bed, specially when we be a part of him on it, which we do normally as it is so cozy. He takes little naps on it but seems to desire an easy rug for lenghty naps.
